I love that my parents saw The Little Mermaid together.

I love that they adored the name Ariel.

I love that when they looked up the meaning it meant, “Lion of God.”

I love that they not only chose my name because of this, but they gave me a destiny and a hope and spoke life over me.

I’m so grateful for my parents.

I wish my parents thought about naming me Ariel, But Hillary isn’t too bad once you get over all the Duff/Clinton/Swank jokes. My parents just heard that name and thought it was for me. I always hated my name until I found out what it meant later in life. Hillary means “cheerful” in greek and thats excactly who I am.
